From dance and sound to whisper sessions and cinema, De Auteurs want to create conditions for attention, imagination and connection to flourish.

As part of Slow Up, Canapé in Brussels will transform into a sanctuary for slowing down. Together with De Auteurs, the venue is curating an intimate programme that invites visitors to step out of the rush of everyday life and into a space of stillness, reflection and sensory experience.
The evening opens with a dance performance by Fons Dhossche, accompanied by a live soundscape by Rodion Gholobov. The performance offers a meditative exploration of a transforming body, inviting the audience to observe movement with the same attention and patience that Slow Up seeks to cultivate.
Visitors can also take part in a sound healing session, designed to create a moment of deep relaxation and presence through sound and vibration.
For those who prefer words to movement, a whisper session offers a gentle alternative: an intimate reading experience where stories are shared softly, creating a rare atmosphere of collective listening.
And because slowing down can also be playful, the evening concludes with Cinema Canapé. Guests are invited to arrive in pyjamas and settle in for a cosy film screening, celebrating comfort, rest and togetherness.
From dance and sound to stories and cinema, Canapé demonstrates that slowing down is not about doing nothing. It is about creating the conditions for attention, imagination and connection to flourish.
