Wintercircus Ghent invites visitors to slow down with a special evening edition of the exhibition CONSENT.

As part of Slow Up for Humanity, Wintercircus Ghent invites visitors to slow down with a special evening edition of the exhibition CONSENT.
What if slowing down is one of the most radical things we can do today?
We live in a world that constantly asks for our attention. We are always connected, always available, always scrolling. On 25 October, Wintercircus offers a different rhythm.
From 7 PM until midnight, visitors are invited to experience CONSENT in a slower, more intentional way. The evening programme will feature ambient music, performances and quiet spaces designed as a gentle counterweight to our culture of hyperconnectivity.
The event is part of Slow Up for Humanity, an initiative by Worried Citizens that calls on people across Belgium to slow down for 25 hours during the weekend of the winter time change. By reclaiming the extra hour that appears when the clocks go back, the campaign invites us to reflect on the pace at which we live, work and consume.
At Wintercircus, that reflection takes shape through art, music and shared presence. There is no packed schedule to rush through, no pressure to optimise the evening. Instead, the space becomes an invitation to pause, breathe, observe and simply be.
Whether you join Slow Up from your own bed, organise a sleepover at your school or spend the evening at Wintercircus, the message remains the same: another rhythm is possible.
More details about the programme will be announced soon.
